Learn anatomy from the inside-out. This comprehensive anatomy module expertly guides you into your living tissues in a concrete and inspiring way. It provides you with a personal experience of the interplay of the many complex systems of the body and helps you to make them relevant and tangible for your students – or for your own practice! Learn how the multiple layers of the body relate and function as a whole while simultaneously exploring specific anatomical structures, physiological processes and typical movement patterns and pathologies. The unique YTU approach not only helps you to embody anatomy, but our educational methodology drastically improves any students’ retention of the clinical language of anatomy in a completely accessible and fun way. Dynamic movement, combined with video, 3-D models, palpation, and self-massage tools and techniques, will invite you to traverse the muscles, joints, bones and fascia and their interrelatedness to breath, circulation, immunity, injury and newfound functional movement patterns. The curriculum is ideal for any movement professional (and yogis of all levels) who desire to sharpen their ability to perceive within themselves as well as correctly locate in others, the vital structural landmarks and meaningful continuities of the body within any movement practice.  Make anatomy relevant to you, and your students will follow!

This workshop applies to anyone and everyone with tension, stress, or pain in your body. Are you a 9-5er, an athlete, a mom, a yogi, or all of the above? We ALL work hard and we ALL carry tension in our tissues! Whether your most common complaint is neck & back pain, shoulder stiffness, or tension headaches (to name just a few) – we will address it! Using Roll Model Method® therapy balls, you will learn easy and effective techniques to roll out tension, improve your breath capacity, prevent injuries, and create long-lasting positive change in your body AND in your movement patterns.

You will leave feeling refreshed and renewed. Absolutely no yoga or other experience is necessary – everyone is welcome!

Pain Relief WorkshopsLearn easy and effective techniques to remove tension, improve strength and flexibility, and prevent injuries. Using therapy balls and focused movement routines, we’ll penetrate layers of skin and muscle to massage deeply into your high tension areas – i.e. myofascial self-care! These techniques are used by physical therapists, pain medicine specialists, and chiropractors, to create long-lasting positive changes, and can be tailored to target pain in the low back, neck, shoulders, hips, feet, and more. Help yourself to feel better in your body every day!
Yoga Tune Up®  Movement TherapyThis workshop integrates elements of Yoga, Calisthenics and Myofascial Release, to break down and more deeply understand posture and movement. The poses, routines and structure of the class will challenge every student to approach their practice as an individual in order to create lasting structural change that suits their own unique bodies. Students of all disciplines, professions, ages and body types will gain a better understanding of their own anatomical structure and its basic biomechanics.
Anatomy for normal people: An embodied approachMost of us haven’t cracked open an anatomy book since freshman year, We’ve got vague memories of long words and color-by-number worksheets with info that went in one ear and out the other. Put those nightmares to rest! This hands-on, YTU® approach uses self-massage and fun exercises to increase your embodied anatomical understanding. We’ll cover the nuts and bolts of human movement, basic bony landmarks, and key muscle groups that will unlock mysteries of your own myofascial geography.  Walk away with tools to maintain your own body, prevent injuries, and erase pain, all while improving your anatomical know-how!
Yoga For Runners Balance your training with this exclusive class designed to help meet the needs of runners’ bodies. Tight hamstrings, taught IT bands, back pain, & even nagging foot pain are just a few of the issues we will address as we restore tissues and illuminate areas that need a little more TLC. Yoga’s internal focus centers your attention on your own body’s movements rather than on an external outcome. We will prevent injuries, improve breath control, and simultaneously stretch and strengthen the body AND the mind.  Students of all levels will be guided through proper poses to use when stretching, and exercises to strengthen the core & restore range of motion.
